Nairobi Church Opens First Facility in East Africa
Sunday, June 27, 2010 will be a landmark day for the International Churches of Christ East Africa family of churches. It will be the occasion for the opening in Nairobi, Kenya of the first church-owned facility in the region, the realization of a dream long held, the fruit of tireless endeavor of many visionaries, and the product of sacrificial generosity of disciples and churches in Kenya and in the USA.

Our God, beyond doubt, has extended the borders of His Church as Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa State in Nigeria, a city renowned for its coastal activities and oil refining, has become the thirteenth mission to be planted by the International Church of Christ, Nigeria.

Another Church Planted in Nigeria
We had a fantastic service in Abeokuta yesterday! We had 260 in attendance, with over 150 adult visitors. We've also had 4 baptisms so far!
ICOC Nigeria Plants Uyo Church
History was made on the 28th of March 2010 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State as the International Church of Christ, Nigeria planted its twelfth church. Disciples predominantly from nearby Calabar, Port Harcourt, Warri and Lagos were at the inaugural worship service of the church which had more than 100 in attendance, including over 50 visitors.

When we started the year with a goal of each disciple making one disciple before the end of the year, little did we know that God was set to do a new and even greater thing in our Region of the church in Lagos, Nigeria: Ikeja-Ketu. We have been greatly inspired by the classes at our midweek and Sunday services (“The Return of the Exiles” and “Set Apart”, respectively). As a result of these classes five new Bible Talk centres were created in the month of January.

In His Fullness—West Africa Singles Conference
Under the theme "In His Fullness" the West Africa Singles Conference began last December with the arrival and registration of delegates at the Windy Lodge Hotel in Winneba. Registration was a blur as the exhausted but enthused delegates poured out of their buses and bounded into the waiting area of the hotel. The unmistakable joy of Africans reuniting quickly transformed the hotel’s quiet and sleepy mood into one of ecstatic joy as disciples punctuated the air with colourful greetings and delighted laughter.
Love—The Most Excellent Way: East Africa Singles Retreat
Over 90 single disciples from around East Africa and as far a field as the UK and USA descended on Fish Eagles Inn in Naivasha, Kenya with gusto for their three-day retreat last December. The participants were taken through inspiring and challenging classes on love, relationships and communication.
