Capetown Church Celebrates 21st Anniversary!

Cape Town has recently been voted the best travel destination in the world by Tripadvisor and the church just celebrated 21 years of God's blessings. The church was planted in 1991 by Jim & Marlene Heese and a team of disciples from Johannesburg.  From ICOCHotNews.com

The Nairobi church in the Kenyan capital Nairobi celebrated an exciting and emotional milestone last year when it fulfilled a long cherished dream and started meeting on its own property. Now the Nairobi church is holding a fundraiser in order to finish the project. One of the key aims is to complete the classrooms and bathrooms for the church’s 950 children, to ensure that not only is their Sunday experience solidly spiritual but that their Sunday environment is safe, secure, spacious and sanitary. Nothing fancy, just healthy.

Almost 200 Baptisms in Nairobi this Year

John and Jane Kilaha are the new leaders in the Nairobi, Kenya Church. They recently replaced Steve and Caroline Mukenya, who moved to lead our Zambian church, and George and Anne Irungu (George is now running a local company). The Mukenyas and Irungu's leadership will be sorely missed by everyone in Nairobi. They did an excellent job. New lead evangelist John Kilaha sent us an update recently.

Johannesburg's 25th Anniversary Service

Over 2,000 people gathered at the church building for a time of celebration, thanksgiving, prayer, worship, videos, the appointment of our newest evangelist and of course food for everyone! The Jo'burg church was begun by a multi-racial and courageous group of disciples who traveled from Boston, USA to the then apartheid governed country of South Africa to begin a church of true disciples who do not see colour, but see ALL people simply as children of God.
