Power of Prayer and the Fruit of Fasting: Good News From Burundi

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

The end of last year was a busy time for the leaders of the church in Bujumbura, the capital city of the eastern African nation of Burundi. Anticipating a great following year, it was a time of planning and this kicked off with the launch of our strategic plan. A New Hope and Future - God provided through HOPE worldwide

By Josephine Muinde
Each day became more difficult for my son and me. After my son’s father died in 2003, I then lost my job and became unemployed for two years. During this time we received lots of spiritual and emotional encouragement from the disciples here in Kenya, but I kept praying for God to open a way for me to get a job. He answered my prayers in July 2006. It was then I joined HOPE worldwide – Kenya as an administrative assistant.
