Great Resources for Women

Women Today plans to close out our section on Book Reviews, but before we fold this section into another let me remind you of some of the many wonderful resources written by our sisters.

Sorting through your library can be a daunting task. One of my first “household goals” for the new year was creating a spread sheet of the many books in our home. While this was very helpful organizationally, I found myself getting distracted as I reread some of the tables of contents of books in the shelves. I came away from the task inspired to reread some of the “oldies” and moved a number of our books to the “to be read” shelf. Most of all, I was reminded how much I have learned and look forward to continuing to learn from the insight of others.

Women Today plans to close out this section on reviews. Kay McKean will join me in co editing the lessons, articles and devotional section. We will continue to highlight new books for women as they are released, and post occasional articles with recommendations for reading.

However, before we fold this section into another I can’t help but be impressed with so many wonderful resources written by our sisters. I’m amazed by the work our DPI editor, Sheila Jones, does in gathering resources and continuing to produce high quality books.

Below is a list of these books I hope you will find useful.

Women's Resource Books

Listed below are books written in entirety by sisters in our family of churches and carried by DPI (www.dpibooks.com) and Disciples Today Bookstore (www.dtbookstore.com/). Many other books not included in this list are written by husband and wife teams or are books that contain chapters by women.
