“One Thousand Gifts”- A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are. On November 11th, the women of the Spokane Christian Church gathered to celebrate all the many ways God shows His love and grace through the small things in our lives.

We were all blown away by God as He brought over 70 friends and 70 disciples out to our luncheon. And as we sat down at beautifully decorated tables for early lattes and muffins followed by lunch and discussions, there was an amazing buzz in the atmosphere of women getting to know one another with laughter and conversation.

Ruby Wallace from Tacoma led us powerfully in humility to be so open about her life struggles and yet seeing God’s graces through the hard times. Evelyn Alvarado (recently moved to Spokane with husband, Ruben, to lead the campus ministry) gave her testimony and Stefanie Peacock, Women’s Ministry Leader for Spokane gave a lesson on daring to live fully right now by allowing God’s grace to change us.

It has been very humbling to see how God has not only inspired and encouraged the faith of the sisters here in Spokane but also to see many, many women now studying the bible wanting to make Jesus the Lord of their lives!

“One Thousand Gifts” may have been our theme but truly, we could never count our blessings as God richly blesses us with His immeasurable and everlasting love and grace every day. May we live a life of gratitude towards Him always!
