Let Down Your Nets, Single Sisters Have an Impact at Work

Written by  Chew Wai Yee, Singapore Thursday, 10 December 2009 19:34

A few months ago the Singapore church launched a teaching series during their mid

week services to equip the disciples to “Let Down Your Nets”.

Every disciple was encouraged to take what they had learned and share the Scriptures with their family and friends. The women disciples in the singles’ ministry particularly took this charge to heart. They decided to focus on their work places as their harvest field.

One sister, Jennifer, shared her faith with a colleague and realized he was an ex member of the church. With Jennifer’s encouragement he started coming back to church and he was restored to the fellowship.

Sasha, another sister, lost her job but she was blessed by God and soon started working in another firm. She reached out to a new colleague and invited her to study the Bible. This woman turned out to have the seeking heart of the “Ethiopian eunuch”.

There are now many studying the Bible in the singles’ministry, all colleagues of different sisters. To God be the glory as we strive to shine in our work places!
