Floods, Landslides in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

The 29 disciples and the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines request your prayers and support as we continue to recover from the effects of severe floods and landslides that occurred on Christmas Eve (December 24, 2013). The floods and landslides were as a result of an unexpected low-level trough system and resulted in significant damage to our road network and water system, the destruction of homes and most sadly, the loss of lives.

Phil 1:27 "...stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel."

As Paul sat in a Roman prison, he penned a letter to the Philippian church. He encouraged them to be unified and fight as one for the gospel - regardless of what might happen to him.

It is under this same call for unity that the brothers and sisters of the Caribbean family of churches join together this November for our 2013 Caribbean Conference! Over 280 disciples from eight Caribbean islands and North America have registered for the 2013 Caribbean Conference - Contending As One! Replanting the “Spice Isle” in August 2013!

The Lord said to him, “Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus…(1 Kings 19:15)

And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too, at the present time, there is a remnant chosen by grace.” (Romans 11:4-5)

The Apostle Paul shared with the church in Rome, that as in the days of Elijah, God had reserved a remnant in Israel, who would respond to the gospel and turn to God. So God told Elijah to “go back the way you came”, and to trust in Him for the delivery of His people.

It is with this spirit of faith, and reliance on our God who sees the future, that the Port of Spain Church of Christ (Trinidad & Tobago) announces the replanting of the St. George’s International Church of Christ in Grenada!

The Amazing Restoration of Kafi Joefield

"I was baptized 10 years ago in the Bronx at what had been perhaps the lowest point in my life. I had prayed to God for friends because I was lonely. 2 days later I met Julliette, a Jamaican lady. I studied the Bible and was baptized in the Bronx Region of the NYC Church of Christ.

Angel Martinez Named New Caribbean Regional Chair

"if it is leadership, let him govern diligently..." Ro 12:8

The Caribbean churches were dealt a hefty blow when Damian JeanBaptiste passed away this November. Damian had provided years of dedicated service to the region. Even in a time of mourning, it was acknowledged that the role of leading the Caribbean must be filled by competent and experienced leadership. We believe God has raised up Angel Martinez for a time such as this. Angel has been acknowledged among his peers as an outstanding Evangelist, and has been officially asked to lead the Caribbean Region.
