The Haiti Churches of Christ invite everyone to their national conference celebrating their 25th anniversary from August 8-10, 2014. This will be a great time of refreshment for our church that has much to celebrate, especially since the devestating earthquake four years ago.
Since the earthquake, nearly $1 million dollars were donated to help Haiti rebuild. This money has contributed toward:
- 40 new homes built for 110 members of the Haiti Churches of Christ and their families
- 531,521 meals
- 2,842 medical consultations
- 70 trained in vocational skills and
- 2,412 counseling sessions
The churches in Haiti have experienced great growth since the earthquake. As of 2012, there were 813 disciples across the seven Haitian churches. From January 12, 2010 - January 12, 2014, the churches have seen:
- 446 baptisms
- 46 restorations and
- 20 marriages
