Video Report on Church in Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic shares the island with Haiti. ICOC Hot News brings a new video report on the International Churches of Christ in the Dominican Republic. The Santo Domingo Church of Christ now has an attendance over 1,000 and has planted several churches. Angel and Luz Martinez have led the churches there since planting the Santo Domingo Church in 1992.

The city suffered a 6.1 aftershock at 6:03 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Estimates are that 200,000 people have died.
Contacts for Connecting with Haitian Disciples
Three disciples have stepped forward volunteering to be the connection points for people wanting to connect with the International Churches of Christ in Haiti. This is incredibly helpful since the infrastructure is so damaged and the church leaders in Port-au-Prince are busy meeting needs of disciples and others who have come to them for help.

12 Disciples Dead - Detailed Report on Haitian Churches
We finally were able to talk to the leaders of the church in Port-au-Prince. Evangelist Jean Jorel and his wife Junie and their two boys are safe. They don’t have a place to live, neither does forty percent of the church that they have been able to contact so far. Right now on the church property, they have set up in the open field a makeshift community of a hundred people, among whom, disciples and non disciples where they live together with all their children.
Video Update on Disciples in Haiti
50+ disciples are huddled on the church property, in prayer, sharing their meager food with 40 friends. Their food and water will run out on Saturday. 300+ disciples are unaccounted for. At least 6 are dead. Looting is beginning. Bodies are piling up on the sidewalks.

Haiti Relief Update from the New York City Church
The New York City Church has several hundred members who are of Haitian descent. Many of them have learned that relatives and friends lost their lives in Tuesday’s earthquake. Many more are still awaiting news of their loved ones. It is definitely a difficult time.
