Damian JeanBaptiste’s Legacy Lives On in Others
After serving as a missionary in India during his early Christian years, Damian JeanBaptiste moved to Jamaica in the late 1980s. It was here that he met his wife, Karlene; and after they got married in 1990, they moved to Barbados to lead the church there the following year.

Damian JeanBaptiste finished the race and is with the Lord. God used Damian's faithful life to serve and change untold multitudes as a missionary to India and then to lead the ICOC churches in the Caribbean for many years. He had been fighting a very fast growing liver cancer since only last summer.
Everyone is invited to a memorial service at the Columbia Church of Christ (SC) building on Saturday, November 17, at 2:00 pm A dinner will follow for family members and out of town guests. An additional memorial service will be held in Bridgetown, Barbados on November 24.
Good News from Jamaica
God has been blessing the church in Jamaica in many ways, perhaps too many ways to highlight in one article, but here are a few reasons for us to celebrate.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.

Evangelist Louino Etienne passed away in Haiti on March 12th from a sudden respiratory illness. He leaves behind his wife, Fifi, and their adopted daughter both of whom now live in the Village of Hope outside of Port-au-Prince.

Recently like many others, we had to contend with Hurricane Irene. We would like to thank the disciples around the world who prayed for us and contacted us. We are so thankful for God’s mercy in sparing much of the Bahamas. We had no loss of life, though we have experienced power outages, flooding and other related hurricane damages.
