Omaha Church Hosts World Prayer Night

Recently, the Omaha Church of Christ got together for an evening called "World Prayer Night" to pray for every church in the world that is a part of the ICOC fellowship. Our Epaphras Prayer Ministry (Colossians 4:12) designed this evening to take time out of our schedules to call on God, asking him to assist all of our brothers and sisters in each individual church by name with the work they are doing in their fellowships, cities and nations. We then celebrated our worldwide group of churches with an international food potluck.

Request for African-American Bone Marrow Donors

Toni Thomas, a sister in the Columbia Church of Christ (South Carolina), is in need of a bone marrow transplant. A search for a bone marrow match for Toni has been ongoing for several months but, a match has not yet been found. She asks that you please review the donor criteria by logging on to the informational website at deletebloodcancer.org. Even though this request is for more bone marrow donors in general, Toni is African American and there is a great need for more African American donors nationwide.

JamQuest's 8th Birthday: Brand New Video Release

Exactly eight years ago today, JamQuest had its first event ever: a small basketball tournament at the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, Connecticut. Just a simple service project for an eighth grade assignment. Fifty people came out to support. We raised something like $2,700. That's where it was supposed to stop. We had no intention of continuing it into the next year, but God had different plans.

Only 200 Downtown Rooms Remain at Reach2016

With over 13,500 now attending, it’s no surprise that nearly all of the downtown hotel options are sold out. Just this past week, three of our final hotels opened up: the Residence Inn, the Courtyard by Marriott, and The Four Seasons. Only one of our original options remains: the Union Station Hotel (pictured at right). At this moment, there are about 200 rooms available across all five hotels. Over 3,000 rooms have already been booked.

"UnBoxed" Conference in Orlando, April 21-23

We are convinced that there are many new and fresh ideas that would increase Christian outreach and ministry effectiveness, but may never be fleshed out because they are “not the way we have always done things.” We want to create an environment to share ideas – an experimental breeding ground if you will – to bring those great ideas out in the open. Our conviction is that while Jesus is perfect, we have not perfected the ways to do “ministry” – nor will we ever – but we ought to continue to grow in our abilities, and learn to accomplish Jesus’ purposes in every way that we can.
