April 15: Abidjan Update
Our brothers and sisters in Abidjan continue to face enormous challenges. Although the former president has been arrested, some of his supporters continue to hold out in parts of the city. Looters are attacking civilian homes as the new government is slowly trying to restore order. Food is scarce and what food can be found, is very expensive.
HOPE Youth Corps Will Change Your Life
One of the greatest joys of our lives was to form and lead the first two HOPE Youth Corps in 1994 to Manila and in 1995 to Johannesburg. Since then, through the tireless efforts of HOPE worldwide, hundreds of thousands have benefited from thousands of Youth Corps workers who have traveled around the globe and at home to simply serve God and the poor. Those alumni maintain an amazing social network that includes some marriages!
See the video below that describes the impact on the students and their home churches. Then click here to sign up everyone you can for this powerful, unique opportunity. If that doesn't convince you, click here to read the eternal impact on another alumni.
Striving to Bring Hope After Disaster
Bringing hope and changing lives
HOPE worldwide is deeply committed to the ongoing service of disaster relief. There is a great need for funding and to provide for the growing needs of disaster victims worldwide. Where disasters strike, whether natural or man-made, the vulnerable populations suffer most; innocent children, women, and older people. Even young, strong, and able body men are impacted by these disasters.

HOPE worldwide Reports Strong Church and Individual Support of the Poor and Needy
Giving Ran Counter to 2010 National Trend
HOPE worldwide is grateful to its many financial supporters who stood behind our important work for the poor during 2010.
"In a year when many nonprofits saw decreased giving, we were humbled by the generosity of so many who were moved to help the weak and vulnerable. Starting with a large and immediate outpouring of funds to help Haiti earthquake victims early in the year, your generosity continued through the International Day of Giving in November and the traditional year-end giving season."
