Army Officer Baptized in Columbus, Georgia

Our little church planting in Auburn/Tuskegee (ATCC) is making a big impact (13 baptisms in 2017). Dozens of students at the HBCU campus of Tuskegee University have been baptized in the last four years. This multi-racial church is a light to all of Alabama and the Deep South.

God is Moving in the Knoxville Church

In 2011, God used my wife Sharon to make it clear that we were withering spiritually and needed a fresh start. Sharon suggested I call an old friend of mine, Antonio Boyd. At that time Antonio was working for HOPE worldwide and had visited many of the churches throughout the US. Antonio suggested we check out North River.

Bay Area Campus Student Speaks on Respecting Women

Colin Smith, a campus student in the Bay Area Christian Church in California recently delivered a powerful speech on the importance of respecting women. He was asked to speak to citizens and local community leaders, including the Mayor of Oakland, who were attending a special men's empowerment forum.

The forum was hosted by the local R&B radio station, 102.9 KBLX, for which his father, Elroy Smith is Operations Manager.

A Time of Fasting for Victims of Parkland Shooting

On February 14, 2018, a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland rattled our community. Seventeen people were killed and fourteen more hospitalized. Among the victims were students, teachers and faculty members. As our community continues to mourn the loss of life and bears the burden of grief, we as the Broward Church (and all who will join) have decided to call on God for guidance, wisdom, comfort, peace and hope.

Do we really believe and understand at a heart level that God loves us? Do we live our lives in a way that shows we are "dearly loved" (Eph 5:1)? The answer to the question can be quite different for each one of us. But it is one we need to work through in our journey, because we really are truly, deeply, dearly LOVED.
