I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” -- Acts 13:47

Are you ready to “step out on faith” to serve? Does the dream to “go anywhere”, “do anything” and “give up everything” still burn inside you? Whether you are young or young of heart, in college or empty nesters, God has the perfect place for you in Oregon! Oregon might sound like “the ends of the earth” to you, but perhaps it’s “the new beginning” that you have always dreamed about?

Since our beginning last October 25, 2015 God has truly blessed the University Church of Eugene. With an inaugural Sunday service held on the University of Oregon campus, nearly 500 joined us and witnessed four being baptized into Christ. Since then, God has grown our two campus households of One Year Challenge disciples into growing and thriving marrieds, singles, and campus ministries. What is even more amazing is what is happening across the state!

Pockets of fellowship have been contacting us from all over Oregon. We believe “the ends of the earth” mentioned in Acts 13:47 includes all the beautiful cities of Oregon, not just the big ones. However, instead of requiring these brothers and sisters to move to Eugene, Portland, or Ashland to be a part of established fellowships, we are working with them where they live. Our goal is to strengthen and restore their faith and to rekindle their true purpose and dreams. Our desire is to turn these “pockets of fellowship” into faithful house churches that will reach out to their communities and towns.

Corvallis, Oregon

This fall we plan to help launch the Corvallis House Church! Corvallis is home of Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College. The Jensen family has lived in Corvallis for years and has eagerly awaited the church in their town. The church in Eugene plans to duplicate the model we used, sending a team of disciples to live in two houses for brothers and sisters to live and reach out to the college, university and town. The Jensen’s want their home to be the central hub of the house church with Garth & Carrie Jensen serving as “mom & dad” of the house church family.

Bend, Oregon

Soon after the start of the Corvallis house church we are asking God to help us start the Bend house church to encourage and strengthen the pocket disciples living there. Bend is a beautiful city of 80,000 with a college and university extension. It is known as a “sportsperson’s paradise” with world class fishing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, hunting, etc. Bend is a very popular vacation destination that attracts visitors from all over the country. Currently God is blessing us with house church team members coming from many places. If you have an interest in Corvallis or Bend, we would love to hear from you.

Future locations include house churches in the beautiful and breathtaking Oregon coastal towns of Florence and Newport where pockets of disciples live. We are praying for house church team members and “mom & dad” couples for those plantings too.

Whether you have just a mustard seed of faith, or you are full of faith and ready to rekindle the “ends of the earth” fire inside, please contact us! Your faith won’t have to move mountains; you just need enough for it to move you to some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Come and join our family here in Oregon and be encouraged by all that God is doing here.
