Things have been moving very rapidly on the Space Coast and we are excited to see the hand of God in our work here! Truly the Holy Spirit is powering things along.
This year, we have seen our attendance grow by an average of 40% since the beginning of 2016. We have added eight new members to the original group of 30 disciples. Of those added, three were added by making the decision to follow Jesus and be baptized. These include a Director of Finance for a large company, a manager of resource development, and a college student from F.I.T. (Florida Institute of Technology) who has graduated and begun her new career in Logistics. We have included some pictures of the recent baptisms, which occurred where else but at the beach!
We continue to reach out to the F.I.T. campus with our highly successful student suppers which have been rebranded as “Table Talks,” since we have created an atmosphere similar to a family dinner table where there are short spiritual topics presented. The church is focusing internally on building healthy marriages, families, and friendships through weekly Marriage Enrichment Groups (MEG). In addition, we have organized into triads (groups of three) to strengthen the church as we continue to grow through mentoring and peer relationships.
The Space Coast Church meets at the new Wickham Park Community Center, located in the heart of Brevard County. The spotlight is on high-energy worship times and relevant messages. Please pray for our continued success as we work to strengthen those who have been added as well as study the Bible with those who are working through their individual decisions to follow Jesus.
