Each day became more difficult for my son and me. After my son’s father died in 2003, I then lost my job and became unemployed for two years. During this time we received lots of spiritual and emotional encouragement from the disciples here in Kenya, but I kept praying for God to open a way for me to get a job. He answered my prayers in July 2006. It was then I joined HOPE worldwide – Kenya as an administrative assistant.

"On our planet, 1.2 billion people live in extreme poverty and survive on less than $1 per day. Over 800 million people worldwide are chronically hungry and malnourished. These are not merely the poor, but the “extreme poor” fighting to survive. Each day, 25,000 of them fail to survive and succumb to hunger or hunger-related causes.
