Situation Report #1 – April, 26, 2015
On Saturday, April 25, 2015, a 7.9 earthquake brought calamity and destruction to a heavily populated area of Nepal impacting six million people. The quake was also felt in nearby China and India, however, Nepal sustained the most damage. The death toll is reported to have reached 2,500. This number may rise as communications are restored in the more remote villages.
