Volunteer for Signature Youth Service Day!

We are very excited to announce that the National Youth Advisory Council (NYAC) was named a Global Youth Service Day Community Partner by Youth Service America! The NYAC has been recognized for the Signature Youth Service Days (SYSD) which NYAC members throughout the U.S. and Canada plan and organize every fall and spring. SYSDs are excellent opportunities for youth to identify and meet the needs present in their local communities, towns and cities and serve those around them.

This spring, our SYSD theme is “Opening Doors.” Our focus will be to open doors and build lasting relationships with local groups, organizations and non-profits to serve our communities in a variety of ways. The weekend of April 17-19, hundreds of NYAC members and youth will be participating in activities to engage in their communities. A few examples include mulching the grounds of a local community center in South Carolina, hosting a breakfast for the homeless in Missouri, and working with the local Boys and Girls Club in Delaware.

We look forward to seeing the countless ways the youth around the U.S. and Canada impact their communities this spring, and we are thrilled to be creating new partnerships with incredible organizations like Youth Service America!
