How it came about...
For the past thirteen years, the Louis and their staff have been trained in many aspects of counseling and communication, and have been integrating their skills into a unique toolbox of both biblical and therapeutic expertise. In order to meet the needs of their congregation in Singapore, John and Karen put together several workshops for marriage and family, which have profoundly helped their ministries in Asia. The "I Choose Us!" (ICU) marriage program and "Good Enough Parenting" (GEP) parenting program were originally conceived as strengthening programs for their members, but have now evolved into also being evangelistic in nature. As others have heard about the success of these workshops, the Louis have received numerous requests to equip other leaders in the ICOC to be able to replicate these programs.
