There is much good news to report from the Tampa Bay Church's Teen Ministry this year!   The teen disciples have grown to a total of eight.  Three teens graduated this year leaving two disciples in the teen ministry, one of which was baptized earlier this year.   Since July there have been five baptisms plus a disciple that moved here from South Florida.  There are also multiple studies going on now so that number is sure to grow.

My name is Kyria and I was born in Paris, France 16 years ago.  My dad is Italian and my mum is American. We now live in Milan, Italy, where my parents moved when I was about 6 months old to help the church here.

I was baptized on October 8th, 2009. By then, I was determined and sure of what I wanted, but it actually took me over a year to come to my final decision.

Positive Choice is an abstinence program by HOPE Worldwide.  Our Singapore teens have enjoyed being involved in this program. One of the creative things that they did was to draw a Positive Choice graffiti poster that will be used for our future Positive Choice programs in Singapore and our region.

Here is a video clip of their work.

Following the baptisms of best friends Ella and Gislenne...on Sunday 5th July, Priya Nanjundan was baptized into Christ. She went into the waters of baptism after the church service in the West sector surrounded by her family and a great cloud of witnesses.

Emotional scenes accompanied Priya's baptism as Mum, Dad and daughter were united in Christ. The West celebrated with great enthusiasm and renewed vision. Please continue to pray for the burgeoning teen ministry in London!

'Out of This World' Teen Camp

by Friday, 14 August 2009 07:11

Teenagers from all over the midwestern United States gathered for an inspirational week of camp in early August.  "Quest 2009:  Out of This World" served as the theme for this year's Midwest Teen Camp.

A month ago we were blessed to see our first teen woman (Ella) baptized in several years in the Northwest Sector of the London Church.  Only a few weeks later one of her best friends followed her into the waters.  Gislenne is a special young lady.  She is the youngest of three daughters of a single mother.  Aurora (her mother) has faithfully brought her children up to love God and help them to be ready at the right time.

"Voices of the Spirit" is a group of very talented young people from the very supportive Atlanta Metropolitan Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The purpose of this vocal group is to use their voices as a spiritual act of worship and pray that the lyrical content in the songs they sing will reach someone's heart and bring them closer to God.

Vinay was introduced to the church three years ago by his older brother who had become a disciple. Vinay was baptized, quickly grew and started to enjoy his Christian life. Unfortunately soon after that his brother decided to leave the church. It was extremely hard for Vinay (now 19 years old) as he was very close to his brother and really looked up to him.

The Hartford Church’s Teen Ministry took center stage to lead our worship in song, prayer, and preaching the Word.  The service focused on the armor of God and four teen men preached on this subject with passion and humor.  Will Walter and Jason Gingerich stepped up to study the text (Ephesians 6:10-18) and then exegete the passage for the approximately 400 participants at the two services.

The early service began with rousing singing and was highlighted early on by the teen women performing “Pocketful of Sunshine,” most recently sung at the Women’s Night at the Town Hall. (Click here to see video.)
