HOPE Youth Corps has a deep spiritual impact. Apart from serving underprivileged communities, every day, the participants hear Bible lessons, have quiet times together, have discipleship groups, and deep spiritual conversations. They share their faith, lead Bible talks, and strive to be more like Jesus.
Again and again, we hear of young people turning their life over to God after attending one of our volunteer trips. Listen to what this young lady, Kayleigh Sunderlin, has to share. She was just baptized earlier this month.
HOPE Youth Corps: A Parent's Perspective
by Holly Weaver Toomey -- Los Angeles, CA — Wednesday, 30 September 2015 11:58I can’t say enough about how grateful our family is to the church in providing such a life changing program as HOPE Youth Corps! I remember when the kids were young, hearing about the program, and how many young people were truly changed from the inside as a result of the program. We couldn’t wait to send our kids!
I grew up in the church and had never doubted there was a God. I knew that to be saved, I had to become a disciple and be baptized. I studied the Bible for about a year when I was 14, but decided I'd rather "experience the world" before making such a huge commitment. I wanted to have a good story to tell.

Boyz to Men: Inspiring and Impacting One Young Man At a Time
by Jim Mackie -- Jacksonville, FL — Monday, 04 May 2015 16:43“God moves in a mysterious way, his wonders to perform,” begins an old favorite spiritual song. It’s truly evident in the Jacksonville Church of Christ.
An idea began with a group of men inspired by the faith of a mom in their growth group. She raises two young foster children as well as her own three, and her husband is deployed in the Navy. This seed planted a desire to meet the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of young boys, especially young fatherless boys in the Jacksonville church and community through an afterschool and mentoring program.
Hey teens! Looking to do something extra fun and adventurous this summer?

Based off of Ephesians 6:10, we are to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. We are also excited to have Ruben and Marina De Anda, Gary and Claudia Smith, and Christian and Jessica O’Connor from Los Angeles as special guests.
