How are the Disciples in Haiti? Tune in Tonight

All but 50 disciples in Haiti have been found. How are they living? What is the plan to help them? How can we help the community? How will our donations be used? These questions and more will be answered live online this week.

Thursday, January 28, Disciples Today is partnering with HOPE worldwide to broadcast the first live global fundraiser on DToday.tv to benefit the earthquake victims of Haiti. HOPE worldwide for Haiti will be the first fundraising event of its kind when viewers can learn firsthand about disaster relief activities in Haiti to help members of the Port-au-Prince Church of Christ and instantly respond by making online donations to HOPE worldwide.

Mark this event on your calendar, announce it to your churches, tell your family and friends, put it on your websites, blogs, Facebook pages and Twitter away.

God is opening amazing doors for HOPE worldwide and the International Churches of Christ to serve together in this crisis. Ask God to bless this historic event and to move the hearts of many to give to HOPE worldwide for Haiti.

Here are the details . . .

$125,000 Donated So Far to HOPE worldwide for Haiti

Randy Jordan reports that people have already donated $125,000 to HOPEworldwide for relief work in Haiti. And many International Churches of Christ have committed to send special contributions over the next few weeks. This is by far the fastest response HOPEworldwide has received in a disaster relief effort.

A Haiti Relief Summit is planned for this Friday to plan the short term and long term aid.

The needs are immense.  Please donate and encourage your friends to donate at: www.hopeww.org

Contacts for Connecting with Haitian Disciples

Three disciples have stepped forward volunteering to be the connection points for people wanting to connect with the International Churches of Christ in Haiti. This is incredibly helpful since the infrastructure is so damaged and the church leaders in Port-au-Prince are busy meeting needs of disciples and others who have come to them for help.

Thankful for You and for True Freedom

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

One of our very favorite Thanksgiving celebrations was in Hong Kong with Godwin and Crystal Chan's House Church gathered in a small, high-rise apartment around a table laden with all the Thanksgiving treats accented with awesome Chinese dishes. The fellowship was a living 3D illustration of the Scripture above.
