When it was announced that Singapore would be hosting the ILC, a few disciples in Uganda and Rwanda decided that they were going to do whatever it takes to attend. No more watching from afar. They wanted to experience it firsthand.

uganda ilcUganda's per capita income is only $506. Most people have never travelled outside Uganda let alone been on an airplane. Passports are hard to get. Not to mention they still had school fees to pay, rent, special contribution…Yet none of this was going to hold the disciples back.

They sacrificed, worked hard, got creative and without cutting back on their contribution or special contribution, they raised the money.

And now there are 18 disciples from Uganda getting on a plane (12 of them for the first time ever!!) and flying half way around the world to Singapore to fellowship, worship and sing with disciples from all over the world.

Another encouraging note is that the couple who leads the church in Rwanda will also be attending, thanks to a brother from Singapore whose work takes him to Kigali, Rwanda. He is paying for one of their plane tickets.

This is nothing short of a fantastic display of faith and that God can, and does, incredibly more than all we can ask or imagine.
