In India, Aitwade is a village which is about 45 kilometers from Kolhapur City, Maharashtra. The family of Sakharam and Shakunthala used to conduct a prayer group in that village. They both work in the fields on daily wage basis. They have three children. They were invited to our church and studied the Bible.

They made Jesus Lord in 2008 and were baptized. Since then they have been very committed against many persecutions from the local community and relatives. But they were willing to travel all the way to Kolhapur regularly to get encouraged by the word of God and fellowship.

Against many odds and consistent prayers and perseverance they were able to get funds from the Government to build a house in that village which was due to them. They are waiting for the construction to be over by this month end. Their dream is to have ministry in their house. Even now everyday they call their neighbors, pray and share whatever they learn at church. Their story inspires many in Kolhapur Church.
