Campus Minister Sought for Dayton, Ohio Church

The church in Dayton, Ohio is looking to hire a campus minister for the 2012-2013 school year. We are a church of 57 disciples, and growing well in 2012 that has a dream to see our city evangelized, including the three main campuses of Wright State University, the University of Dayton, and Sinclair Community College. With a combined student enrollment of more than 55,000 students, there is plenty of opportunity to grow a thriving campus ministry.

In addition, we are in close proximity to Wilberforce University and Central State University in the Xenia area, and Wittenberg College and Clark State University in Springfield.

The church has 5 full-time campus students, all of whom are active on campus, participating in weekly Bible talks already, and possess a passion to see our campuses reached for Christ. We have a current Wright State student chapter status as well.

In April, Forbes Magazine listed Dayton as America’s most affordable city:

Dayton has long been known as one of America’s premier cities for innovation. The city where two brothers taught the world to fly is home to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and is centrally located just 45 minutes north of Cincinnati and an hour west of Columbus, the state capital, home of the Ohio State University, which is being evangelized as well. The OSU and Dayton campuses have great potential for working together, some of which we have already seen.

With a population in Dayton and the surrounding areas of just under 1 million people, there is much work to do.

We are a devoted and purposeful church that has close ties to six other churches in the Ohio Valley Region. And we are well connected to the ACR family of churches from the East Coast.

We are seeking to hire an individual who has a deep walk with God and has the humility to work under the ministry leaders. Someone who is ready to get on campus with existing students and seek out those who want to have a relationship with God.
