Editor's note: Here is the latest update from our family of churches in the path of Hurricane Matthew. Please be praying for all affected by this storm in the Caribbean, Florida, and the Southeast US.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Thank you for your interest for the Caribbean, especially during this period. In the name of HOPE worldwide in Haiti, we're so sorry for this hurricane in the Caribbean. Our prayers go to Jamaica and Cuba.
For Haiti, we had a hard night, particularly in the south of Haiti (at least 40% of the country). In this region we have five churches (Irois, Cayes, Jacmel, Berly and Bodarie). with over 160 disciples. At this moment, a lot of regions are devasted by the hurricane. All the city and communities nearby the sea are under water (flood). Many houses lost their roof. It's the same for a lot of families in our churches in those regions.
At this date, the authority confirm two persons are dead and there are about ten missing persons. The damages are so important. We have contacted all the disciples in those regions to effectively evaluate the victims families. I'll ge back to you soon. The needs overpass our capacity., as you know HOPEww in Haiti lives with disciples' contributions.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
Sincere collaborations,
Anael Hyppolite
Port Au Prince, Haiti
Everything is OK in Jamaica. The hurricane missed us entirely. Angel (evangelist in Dominican Republic) reports that all is well despite flooding in Dominican Republic.
Most of the disciples are OK but we are still trying to make contact with one group.
Will have updates later.

Thanks for reaching out. Jamaica has so far escaped the brunt of the hurricane but it seems that we will get the outer bands. Flooding has started and will likely get worse overnight. Therefore we are not completely out of the woods. But Haiti is in the path of the eye. They are in more danger than us in Jamaica.
