Here are some resources to help you sing well and reach out while you praise God in a community Sing A Long...

It happens every year around this time! Churches, Community Choirs, Colleges and Campus Choristers come together to Sing Handel's acclaimed Messiah together. If you have been approached to play or sing-DO IT! Christmas is a time when it appears more natural to talk about Jesus - and people are more receptive.

Here are a couple resources to help you prepare-

1) WWW.ICCSONGS.NET has a tremendous library of tunes divided out in Soprano, Alto, Tenor & Bass parts ??? including the Hallelujah Chorus. Check it out and download the free Noteworthy Composer reader to enjoy using this tool.

The Hallelujah Chorus Link is on this page at http://iccsongs.net/SpecialCollection.php

The site now features a new, way cool tool! Right below the standard Noteworthy Composer tool is an mp3 tool. The software actually sings the parts for you. A computer-sung mp3 of the Hallelujah Chorus ??? by parts is ther with 1 click!

At the bottom of the page is a link to the tool.

You do not need any special software for the mp3 functionality.

For example, here is the TENOR part...

2) Get a CD of Handel's Messiah. Actually, better yet, get an acappella recording of the chorus. DPI did a CD re-issue of the FREEDOM SINGERS' cassette tape of 80s fame. It is a great CD with 22 songs on 21 tracks - including Hallelujah. Only $12.

It is at this link Freedom Singers SONGS OF THE KINGDOM

3) Study up on the history of MESSIAH and become familiar with the scriptural references. Reach out to those around you and enjoy performing a piece totally about the GLORY OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST!

What a great way to keep Christ first in Christmas!
