11 Days in 40 Years: Reflections on Perseverance

Mount HorebIn Moses’ account from Deuteronomy 1, the Lord records one of the most curious Bible factoids you could ever imagine. From the starting point at Mount Horeb (at right) to the destination the Israelites ended up 40 years later, the trip was described in Deuteronomy 1:2 as an 11-day journey! And yet the Israelites wandered 40 years in the desert to get from point A to point B!

Psalm 47 - Clap! Shout! Trumpet! Sing Sing! Sing! Worship the King!

If ever there were a Psalm calling us to sing praise to God, this one would be my first choice to recommend ...

Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
