Hurricane Recovery in Puerto Rico

Many pallets of direct relief have been successfully delivered to Puerto Rico over the last month! Churches in Florida and Puerto Rico as well as volunteers on the ground have contributed tirelessly in efforts to bring hope to the residents of Puerto Rico. We created a video to share some updates on our progress.

Prayer Request: Hurricane Harvey

To all of our brothers and sisters,

As many are aware, there is a dangerous situation off and around the coast of Texas and Louisiana as Hurricane Harvey is gaining strength. What looked to be a tropical depression has strengthened into a full-fledged hurricane with the potential to become a category 3 storm by Friday night when it is expected to make landfall. HOPE worldwide has been closely monitoring the situation and has been in contact with church leaders across the region. Richard Alawaye, evangelist in Corpus Christi, reports that to his knowledge all 30 disciples of the Corpus Christie Church have evacuated and are safely in the homes of brothers and sisters in San Antonio, Houston, Austin and Dallas.

Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary

The team at Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital recently celebrated its five year anniversary. SKMH opened in April 2012 with the mission to meet the needs of poor children and women of Southern Cambodia. It is managed by HOPE worldwide. Since its opening, nearly 50,000 patients have been touched by the team. On May 26, the hospital honored 31 employees who have served since the hospital’s opening day.  Through the dedication of its staff and supporters, SKMH has seen tremendous growth.
