2011 Summer Community Service Brigades: Central America

Friday, 04 March 2011 07:29

The HOPE worldwide Community Service Brigades have changed the lives of countless people desperately in need of medical attention. Click on the video below to listen to the story of a woman whose life was not only changed but saved as a result of the HOPE worldwide volunteers serving in Honduras.

The Story of Florinda

Florinda Hernandez lives in a very poor rural community, an hour and half from San Pedro Sula, Honduras. She has little or no access to health care. Recently, she was suffering from the symptoms of diabetes. Florinda made the long bus ride San Antonio de Majada where Dr. Jonathan Drake and other HOPE worldwide volunteers were serving.
