As the financial crisis sweeps Ukraine, economy experts give all sorts of advice on how to improve the situation. Several brothers from the Kiev Church Christ had their say too. They started a Bible Marathon in a public square.
For over five days disciples from Kiev church, their friends, relatives and just ordinary passer-bys had been reading the Bible 24 hours a day passing turns to each other.
The Word of God was read on Kiev central square – Maydan Nezalezhnosti.
According to Igor Tkalenko, a brother from the Kiev church who was among organizers of the marathon, the idea was borrowed from old European tradition when in times of economic and political upheaval people would come together to read the Bible and pray to God.
