Purity and Holiness is for Everyone

The Kiev church recently hosted the Weidners as they spoke on the topic of purity and holiness. The response was awesome.

The Kiev Church had the privilege of hosting some special and dear guests, Dave and Robin Weidner from the Chicago church (Their daughter, Beckah, has been living in Kiev for the last 2 years.) The Weidners spent two full weeks in Ukraine, teaching and encouraging the disciples about purity and holiness. It was the first time in Kiev for Dave, but Robin visited us in 2007 for the 15th anniversary of Kiev Church and taught sisters from her great book Secure in Heart published by DPI. David Weidner has an audio series called “Pure in Heart” recently released by IPI.

During their two week stay in Kiev, they did 10 speeches – for men, women, staff, teen workers, singles, parents, and finally, married couples, who had a great chance to learn more about true intimacy on February 14th, St.Valentine’s day! It was great to hear the Weidners share from their own experiences about the fight for purity and security.

Dave and Robin also met with those interest in starting groups to help deal with sexual sins and groups for the sisters who influenced by these sins in the life of the people close to them. They also met with many brothers and sisters who needed special help and direction in dealing with sexual sins or insecurities brought on by past abuse. Crowds surrounded them at every speaking engagement.

The visit of Dave and Robin has marked the beginning of new era in the Kiev church in helping brothers and sisters strive for purity and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord as the Bible teaches. We are so grateful for the giving hearts of David and Robin, for their incredible example of openness and vulnerability and for their strong convictions about God’s high standard for purity in the lives of Christians.

You can listen to all the classes from the Weidners by visiting the Kiev church website.

Much Love,
Masha Lyashenko
