Update on Beabylie Lakoussan, osteonecrosis victim, women's leader in Cotonou (Benin, West Africa), and your sister in Christ Update on Beabylie Lakoussan, osteonecrosis victim, women's leader in Cotonou (Benin, West Africa), and your sister in Christ:
Our sister, who is unspeakably grateful for the help from brothers and sisters she has never met, is almost ready for her operation. Sometimes things in the third world take a little more time. For instance, after receiving the donations from many generous Christians, we wired the money from the IBTM account to the bank in Cotonou. It took over two weeks to clear through the African banking system. Finally, almost four weeks ago, she was able to visit the doctor.
Medical timeline for B??abylie:
* Mid-March -- B??abylie has her initial meeting with the physician. Preoperative analyses, radiography of hips and lungs, preanaestheic consultation.
* Early April -- Further preoperative examinations, alimentary treatments, bloodwork, treatments for infection, etc.
* Mid-April -- She should soon be ready for hospitalization and surgery for her osteonecrosis.
Please be assured, when there is more definite news we will let you know, both through my website and through Disciples Today. Thanks again for giving. -- Douglas Jacoby
