As a part of a 30 year mission plan for Africa, the International Churches of Christ in Africa are becoming self-supporting and planting new churches. With God's help and your support, the disciples in Nigeria and Ghana are planting more churches in state capitals this year.

In His Fullness—West Africa Singles Conference

Under the theme "In His Fullness" the West Africa Singles Conference began last December with the arrival and registration of delegates at the Windy Lodge Hotel in Winneba. Registration was a blur as the exhausted but enthused delegates poured out of their buses and bounded into the waiting area of the hotel. The unmistakable joy of Africans reuniting quickly transformed the hotel’s quiet and sleepy mood into one of ecstatic joy as disciples punctuated the air with colourful greetings and delighted laughter.

Mission 2010: Nigeria to Plant Four New Churches in State Capitals

Isaiah 52:7 – How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who brings good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ”Your God reigns!”

In accordance with the resolutions of the International Leadership Group to tag 2010 as the Year of Missions, Nigeria has emerged with four new mission fields to be planted in 2010.

Raising Awareness for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children
On Saturday, November 29, an estimated 5,000 volunteers took to the streets of Lagos as part of the 8th Annual Great Hope Walk in Lagos, Nigeria.

The purpose of the 10 km walk, which HOPE worldwide - Nigeria annually organizes in conjunction with World AIDS Day, is to raise money by drawing attention to the plight of people living with HIV and AIDS – particularly children.

New Studies, Baptisms and Buildings in West Africa

God continues to move mountains as his people step out on faith. Recently 254 people in Monrovia asked to study the Bible at the inaugural service of the new building for the Monrovia International Church of Christ. And the president was there to see it.
