Johannesburg Church Appoints New Teacher

Nearly 1700 people gathered on Sunday morning for an amazing celebration of worship, fellowship and learning at the Joburg Church of Christ. The singing, as always, was incredible. The energy was electric.

The space was limited, with standing room only! And the church was inspired by the appointment of Dave Pocta as the Congregational Teacher. Dave will be helping establish the Disciple Bible Academy of Johannesburg.

The congregation also warmly welcomed the Singh family, who are visiting South Africa. Melanie vulnerably shared "Her Story". Explaining her struggles and upbringing and the perseverance of her brother in helping her become a disciple. Tony then preached powerfully on "The Mission". The church was inspired and encouraged to "stay on the narrow road" described by Jesus and make sure we are still "truly following him".

After church, two hundred disciples then gathered for a leaders meeting for additional training and encouragement to hold up the standards of Christianity with boldness and conviction!

What an amazing day! To God be the Glory.
