Will and Tosha Archer from the Potomomac Valley Church of Christ did an amazing job teaching on the theme “Leading from the Inside Out.” They taught and shared vulnerably, leading the way on how to explore and strengthen ourselves in God’s love and God’s family. There was an extensive 24-page survey that helped people explore their past environments and experiences as well as their personalities and strengths. These are the very things that have made us into the people and leaders we are today. Through this weekend, people were helped to know themselves better, their strengths and weaknesses, and how to get their needs met so that they can turn around and then meet the needs of others.
Freedom Asihel of the NOVA EDGE ministry said, “I really liked how the retreat was a reminder that being self-reflective is a lifelong learning process. It was also comforting to know that we're all working through this learning together and can enlighten others through it all.”
Mindi McNeil from Denver said, “This was one of the best conferences that I have been to in a long time. There was so much vulnerability, depth, practicals, scriptures, and fellowship. I walked away feeling like there IS a plan for the singles.”
People also had a blast at the LeaderSHIN-DIG Saturday night. There was lots of fun, games, food, laughter, dancing, and fellowship. Andre McRae of the Northern Virginia Church of Christ closed out the weekend with a powerful Sunday sermon titled “We Are Our Story.”
