The whole weekend took a lot of effort from several individuals who are after God’s heart and love. Singles worked diligently and whole-heartedly to create a marvelous and unforgettable time for the DFW singles and singles from all over the country. And yes, we did have singles from all over the country!
It was extremely encouraging to see brothers and sisters from out-of-state travel long distances. They not only came to the party but joined our fellowship during the game night, and were more than willing to serve during our Tornado Relief Community Service Day. God’s light really did shine strongly all over the hotel we booked, the restaurants we ate at, and the city we served. In the end, we topped off a wonderful weekend with an inspirational Sunday service on the first Sunday of 2016.
There wasn’t a better way to start the New Year than by being surrounded with God-centered disciples from all walks of life and backgrounds. Ephesians 5:13-18 claims we should put on the full armor of God and to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests,” and that is exactly what singles did all New Year’s weekend. They helped one another equip themselves for a strong 2016. To God be the glory!
