singlesbandwebcinthec2cinthecAs the hustle and bustle of the downtown Dallas scene began to come alive, the DFW Church Singles Ministry kicked off its yearly celebration of the holiday season.

The sound of Christmas filled the air as the singles ministry band played all-time favorites and disciples and their friends from across the Dallas Fort Worth area shared in fellowship. As the night progressed, Adam Smith, evangelist for the singles ministry, shared inspirational words and helped us to refocus our thoughts on the truth behind the season.

Soon after, the doors opened to the food and beverage room and guests feasted on appetizers, festive desserts, holiday punch, and warm cups of cocoa. DJ Anijah blasted trendy beats luring singles to the dance floor. Meanwhile, people lined up by the Christmas tree photo booth for a chance to pose with silly props and friends. Still others made the most of the mild weather and enjoyed conversations on the outside patio lit up by the beautiful Dallas skyline.

Time may have been moving, but inside our cool urban venue, time stood still and the fellowship was lively. When we finally had to say good-bye and the DJ played the fifth “last song”, it was hard to convince everyone that it was in fact nearly 11 pm. Merry smiles stretched across the parking lot as the night came to an end and gave way to new memories of a Christmas in the City.
