Welcome to the website of the 2009, sixth-annual, Southwest Singles Conference!* Our prayer is to see over a thousand singles from all over the American Southwest and even distant parts of the globe attend. We will come together July 30th through August 2nd for a four-day weekend of worship, spiritual enrichment, building of new relationships, and enjoyment of personal renewal. This year's theme is IMAGINE. In the book of Romans Paul says God "calls things that are not as though they were" (Rom 4:17). In a time when many are feeling the pressures of economic challenges and societal changes, God has a spiritual reality in mind that is not obvious to the worldly-minded. This will be a faith-building experience, as together we IMAGINE what the power of God can do in our lives, our spiritual walks, our connections with one another, our outreach, and our career paths. This year our guest speaker is Robert Carillo, a seasoned evangelist and man of great faith who will help us to open our eyes and our minds to IMAGINE what God sees. *Formerly called the "West Coast Singles Conference," we have changed the name to Southwest Singles Conference and are excited about increased involvement from the Southwest family of churches of the International Churches of Christ. |
