“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)On January 9th, 2011 the East Triangle Church of Christ and Triangle Church announced their decision to become one congregation.
The announcement was made at a combined worship service of over 1100 people in Chapel Hill, North Carolina (see photos). Originally, the two churches were the “East” and “West” regions of the Triangle Church. Each region had it’s own ministry staff, elders, and church building. In 2008, we officially became two separate congregations as a first step to plant churches throughout central North Carolina. God, however, has stretched our faith and helped us to grow.
With our planting of the church in Jacksonville, NC, our continued support of East Africa, and the plan to plant a church in Asheville, NC in 2011, God has caused our vision to become more global. We believe we will be better for God together than we would be apart. We want to work together as one family in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and beyond.
Please continue to pray for us as we proceed with this process. We are not one congregation yet. There are many details to address and many decisions to make. However, with God’s help and leadership, we are committed to loving each other, coming together as one, and glorifying His name. See more by at: www.easttrianglechurch.org
