Ohio Valley Rally – “On to Maturity”

“Therefore, let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity…”

Growing up. Weaning ourselves off milk and chewing on some solid food. Going on to maturity.

For hundreds of disciples of Jesus around the Ohio Valley, this is the call of the hour and the theme of our first Ohio Valley Rally. Though hosted by the Columbus Church of Christ, the amazing conference held on June 6-7, was the result of brothers and sisters throughout the Ohio Valley pulling together and pulling it off for the glory God. Believers from Cincinnati, Toledo, Dayton, Cleveland, Lexington, Louisville, and Pittsburgh, enjoyed a great time of fellowship, ministry and life-specific lessons, a lively concert with brother Big City from Philly with other fun and faithful performers, and a miraculous worship service on Sunday! We also celebrated the baptism of a teen from Cincinnati that morning as well.

Ruben and Barbara Marbury from the Montgomery County Church of Christ blessed us all as our special guests as they brought their signature blend of deep teaching and practical sharing. For many, it was their first conference and their first taste of that Spirit-filled mixture which gives us all a glimpse of heaven.

What began as an all-Ohio Sunday service has now grown into something much bigger and better. It has become an event which crosses geographic boundaries and ministry borders bringing family together and calling us all higher. Something which is both faith-building and fun!

We’ll look forward to seeing God continue to work through our unity and devotion to Christ in every church and every ministry!
