Chicago Campus Conference & Church Revival
God revived the campus ministries of the International Churches of Christ in the North America and is bringing more life around the world. Here is a video report of the 2010 International Campus Ministry Conference in Chicago and the revival beginning in the Chicago Church of Christ.
Not only did God bless us with the largest gathering of students in our movement's history, but Mayor Daley's office also said these students served in the greatest single campus volunteer effort in the history of Chicago.
Returning Home to God
On May 2, 2010, in a joyful and tearful reunion, Christie read the following letter of repentance and restoration to the Central Ministry Center of the Chicago Church of Christ. Several others came to rejoice in the occasion including her brother, Mike Lamb, youth and family minister in Boston. Her mother and father also shared giving her a ring and a celebration welcoming her back to her spiritual home.
Disciple Feared Drowned in Wisconsin
On Tuesday, August 10 around 10 pm, Don LaCosse went missing on the Chippewa River. He was dog sitting for a friend who was at a funeral in Minnesota. Don was around this dog all the time and often took it to the river to swim. It is believed that he was taken by the current on Tuesday evening. Authorites believe they found his body Thurday afternoon.
Updates on Jeff Balsom
Jeff Balsom had successful brain surgery last Tuesday to remove a tumor. Doctors will continue to treat the lung tumor and other issues.
Jeff and his family are dearly loved in Chicago, around the Midwest and in many places including the Ukraine. He serves as an elder in Chicago and on the ICOC Elders Service Team and has been instrumental in Eurasian Missions.

Curt and Patty Simmons Return to Full-Time Ministry
Curt and Patty Simmons were recently appointed to lead the Chicago Ministry Center of the Chicago Church of Christ. Curt and Patty have over 20 years ministry experience, but have been out of the full-time ministry since 2004 while Curt dealt with serious medical challenges.
