Bored Teens? Sign them up to volunteer! If you've checked out the Schedule Summary on our website, you already know that all of the conference tracks have content on Thursday, with the exception of the Teens.
We know what you're asking..."How am I going to keep my teen occupied while I'm in classes?"We have the solution: Sign them up to volunteer!
We welcome teens as young as entering sixth grade to volunteer for indoor shifts at the America's Center. All shifts will have supervising adults and your sons and daughters will go through some quick training on how to do their job.
Whether this is their first or 10th conference, they'll be in good hands. Shifts are only three to five hours long. There's no limit to the number of shifts they can sign up for; we already have one sixth-grader committed to three shifts!

Our Volunteer Coordinator has just recently created a group of ushers for certain Thursday shifts to fill in the gaps. Many of the teams were planned with the minimum number needed, and this group will be geared to go wherever there is a need. This group is ideal for Teens who are looking to serve while there parents are attending classes. Teens will be placed inside the America’s Center only, unless accompanied by parents.
Teens do need their parents' consent to volunteer. Parents, when you sign up your teen, please do so using an email that you have access to.
And if you would like to serve alongside your teen for a shift, we would welcome that as well! Hundreds of adults have already signed up, from churches all over North America. You can read more about the details of volunteering in this previous post.
Of course we also welcome adults who want to volunteer as well! We especially need volunteers for Corner Greeter spots, as well as men to volunteer during the Saturday Men’s Program (they won’t miss out on the program!), and Sunday ushers.
