lagos nigeria icoc campus ministryOn Sunday, September 4, the Lagos Church of Christ sent out four interns from the campus ministry to go lead churches in various parts of Nigeria. The inspiring and energy-packed ceremony, which was presided by Emmanuel Emeh, evangelist and leader of the region, was witnessed by members of the Lagos campus ministry and their invited friends. The ceremony took place during the region's regular Sunday worship service at their new venue, "The Function Room" of the University of Lagos Guest House.

These churches are three of our four churches without full-time ministers. We hope by next year to raise up and send leaders to our fourth church in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Below are names of our heroes, the churches they'll be leading and Nigeria's geo-political bloc they are attached to.

  • Nwaribe Tochukwu (Owerri Church) South-East

  • Olushola Samuel Adekoye (Ijebu-Ode Church) South-West

  • Keme Anota & Afeez Bode (Kaduna Church) North-Central

Our four brothers all departed Lagos on Monday, September 5, and have since arrived and checked in with their new "bloc supervisors" in Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Abuja respectively. This move seems apt and inline with the 2016 theme for the Lagos Campus Ministry, "Straight Outta Campus."

Please, let's all be praying for them as we look forward to greater things happening in these three churches. This initial ministry intervention excercise is expected to run for eight months.
