You Are in the Right Place IF...

Participants of the 2008 "Glorious" Worship Conference knew they were in the "Right Place" June 20 - 22 after hearing this humorous yet poignant introduction by Ralph Beerhorst of Chicago, Illinois.

I hope you feel that God has got you just in the right place this weekend...Are you sure?

  • If you’ve ever been at church before most of your brothers and sisters have gotten out of bed, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever been at rehearsal after most of your brothers and sisters have gotten into bed, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you get to sit through an entire service with your spouse or family about as often as the Chicago Cubs win the World Series, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever gone to work on Monday praising God because it was going to be a far less busy day than Sunday, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If your typos have ever been projected in front of an entire congregation,
    YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If your role in the worship service is only noticed if something goes wrong, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If your quiet time on a Sunday ever consisted of desperately praying that God would help you remember your lines, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you always hoped to write or arrange a song for the Kingdom songbook, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  •
  • If you always hoped that people would correctly sing the song you wrote or arranged in the Kingdom songbook, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  •
  •
  • If you’ve always hoped that you could somehow get more involved in your worship service, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve always hoped that you could somehow get LESS involved in your worship service...by raising others up to use their talents for the Lord...YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever done an interpretive dance that has moved the hearts of the brothers and sisters, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’d never do an interpretive dance for fear of moving the stomachs of the brothers and sisters, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever sung or spoken into a lav, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever changed a battery for a lav, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you don’t know what a lav is, it’s OK, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If no one wants to ride with you to church because you have to vocalize in the car, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If no one CAN ride with you to church because your vehicle is filled with gear, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever wrestled with participating in the worship versus judging the worship, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever struggled with replacing selfish ambition with Godly ambition, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you’ve ever been moved to tears by a message, a song or dramatic presentation, YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
  • If you simply want to worship the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and want to help others to do the same, YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!
