Thousands around the world are looking forward to the World Discipleship Summit this summer. The theme is “On the Mountain of the Lord.” This theme is from Genesis 22 where we read the account of Abraham and his only son Isaac. Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” - Genesis 22:14
Here is a song Brian Craig wrote for the conference based on this account. We are asking churches to learn it before the World Discipleship Summit.
In the video below he shares more detail about the story and the song. Also below is a demo recording he put together for their worship band to learn it. For those of you who are worship leaders, it would be great if you could sing the song with your congregation before we come together in San Antonio this summer, so folks could be a little familiar with it.
