Brian Craig describes his new CD "Remain in Me" as, "a collection of original songs all sung from the perspective of Jesus to his followers."

Brian Craig describes this new CD below:

"The project is called 'Remain in Me' (I timed the release with a Christian singles conference of the same title I put music together for, but those who attended are the only ones who know about the CD, other than a few of my friends and family).

The album contains 13 songs appearing on the CD in chronological order, all sung from the perspective of Jesus to his followers. The first four tunes begin with lyrics taken from teachings of Christ as they appear in the gospels. These are followed by four songs all from the night of his betrayal (these few hours have a lot of text devoted to them in the Bible, particularly in the book of John). Then there is a song sung from the perspective of Jesus in the garden, wrestling with going to the cross. A first-person perspective from the prophetic Psalm 22 (the savior as he is in the very act of giving his life on the cross) follows this, then a song about the resurrection, and a couple songs with messages that follow the resurrection. The liner notes contain scripture references for each song. Putting this together was really helpful for me spiritually. 2007 was a tough year for me and my family in some ways, and saturating myself in the teachings of Jesus was so good for my soul. I wrote five new songs specifically for this project, and others I have collected over the years.

Another thing about this release that was exciting for me was getting to work with some really great musicians. For my last two CD's I was a bit limited in my recording capabilities and I programmed drum tracks myself and played all the instruments. I was finally able to upgrade my studio equipment a couple years ago that allowed me to track live drums for this album by Peter Wade. I worked with a couple great guitarists on several of the songs, Makoto Otsuka and Marshall Mead. Percussion was added on a few tunes by Moses Edralin, and smokin’ bass on half of the songs by Malcolm Turner. Participation by all of these talented musicians gives this project a 'live' feel with a lot of energy. I also had this album professionally mastered for that extra touch."
