Tornadoes in Alabama left Tuscaloosa devastated. HOPE worldwide Chapters and local ICOC churches acted swiftly in response. It has been amazing to see the Atlanta, North River, and Birmingham Chapters so willing to help these disaster victims.

HOPE worldwide is working with the American Red Cross to provide volunteers for the Sheltering and Mass Care operations in Alabama. These Chapters will also provide volunteer support for the flooding in Mississippi along with the HOPE worldwide Chapter in Jackson, Mississippi and the Chapter in New Orleans, Louisiana.

More than 200 volunteers will be needed to help during the next few weeks. Randy Jordan, HOPE worldwide CEO stated, "This is an incredible testament to the cooperation between HOPE worldwide and the International Churches of Christ.

"The work of the HOPE worldwide and Benevolence committee and the Evangelist Service Team is at the forefront of this kind of response" reports John Causey, HOPE worldwide and ICOC Benevolence Committee Chair.

Antonio Boyd, HOPE worldwide Community Service Division Leader expressed his gratitude, "We also need to thank the HOPE worldwide Chapter Directors like Ron Barnes in Atlanta and John Durkota in North River and local church leaders Frank Davis in Birmingham, Sidney Dockery in Jackson, Steve Stephenson in New Orleans."
