2012 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Results Report

HOPE worldwide volunteers across the country have spoken with their hard work rather than just words to promote the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy.

More than 9,000 volunteers served over 38,400 hours in 31 states through 194 projects coordinated by HOPE worldwide Chapters, American Red Cross partnering chapters and 9 organizations who were awarded grants from HOPE worldwide through funding by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Some volunteers who did not have the federal holiday off from work, elected to take the day off to serve.
