A sociable, responsive and friendly Public Relations and Volunteer Coordinator is needed to direct and maintain open communications between the SKMH and government officials, private and public media, visiting dignitaries, donating agencies, vendors, all health care professionals and volunteers. The ability to communicate in basic Khmer language is preferred, but not required.
The applicant should have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or other relevant field with two years experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are necessary with the ability to use computer-based applications and equipment to prepare briefings and produce brochures, leaflets, and video media. The command of the English language is necessary and expected.
Other expectations include:
- Experience in cross-culture international work is desirable with a willingness to work with peoples of differing beliefs, nationality and culture;
- Ability to manage social media campaigns via the SKMH website, Facebook, or other social networking services; and
- Introducing new, relevant means of advertisement to attract public attention and patronage.
